Congress Chairman’s Message

The Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA) plays a pivotal role in creating a platform of communication and networking for the orthopaedic community in the Asia Pacific region and all over the world. The APOA organises a biennial congress which brings together orthopaedic surgeons, scientists, researchers, allied healthcare professionals, and nurses to share their expertise, experiences, and knowledge on the science and practice of orthopaedic surgery and its subspecialties in the midst of ever-developing medical management and innovations today.

The 21st Biennial Congress of the APOA will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At this Congress, we aim to provide a plethora of scientific sessions for all the specialties of orthopaedic surgery where senior surgeons can impart their expertise and junior surgeons can learn and debate issues. There will also be keynote addresses, plenary lectures, symposia, live workshops, and opportunities for the participants to present their research work at the oral presentations. Together with the Scientific Chairman of this Congress, Prof Tunku Kamarul Zaman, and the Chairmen of the APOA Subspecialty Sections as well as the local coordinators, we hope to provide you with a Congress which is both stimulating and rewarding.
