“Living in a multicultural society means that our language and slang are very much unique and can incorporate the language and/or diction of all 3 major races in Malaysia.”

“Street food. Don’t bother with restaurants unless they’re proper authentic. Go places – Masjid Jamek, KLCC, KL Tower, Botanic Gardens, Lake Gardens, FRIMM, islands. Do local things like road tripping to Putrajaya (just for a drive around), Malacca (food is bomb), Penang (food is so bomb), go to shopping malls, try haggling with stores, call some stranger “auntie” or “uncle”.”
Karen ThivyaMasters Student at Anglia, Ruskin University, United Kingdom
“Food and shopping – the two things you need to experience whilst in Malaysia.”

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and it just next door to the tallest twin towers in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers. The convention centre is also surrounded by a 50-acre park, some of the biggest shopping malls in Malaysia such as Suria KLCC, Avenue K, and Pavilion. Delegates will be spoilt for choice of food, clothes, entertainment, and recreational activities. There is too much to do in too little time in a ‘city within a city’.
The Plenary Theatre offers a more intimate auditoria-style venue with tiered seating for 500 delegates. It is an extremely comfortable venue for Keynote sessions, lectures, and workshops.
The Conference Hall consists of three large spaces which combine to form a hall for 1,800 delegates in a theatre style. The hall is fitted with rear projection plus audio visual equipment and stage lighting.
A high ceiling gives the Grand Ballroom a sense of grandeur and elegance. The space can be divided to form Ballrooms 1 and 2, and it is perfect for our exhibition booths.
This is also a major function space with grand style décor for functions up to 800 people as well as the technology for meetings.
There are 20 meeting rooms available around the major spaces. Also included are suites of VIP rooms, Board Rooms, Press Rooms, Business Centre, and 10 meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 40 pax each.
